Maybe I can head to Whatipu tomorrow afternoon or may need to wait until Thursday. The tent is sheltered from the wind, the sun is shining and I'm ok for food. 3m swells and 40kph wind over an exposed 2km crossing doesn't sound like me in a packraft!
