At last, a whole day of pleasant travel. A kiwi encounter early in the day, a French encounter an hour in then several lazy and non threatening sea lion encounters on Smoky beach.

Yankee river hut is set in gorgeous surroundings just back from the beach. The sun was streaming down and a relaxed afternoon was called for.
Both the crews I had passed made comment on the slow travel between here and Bungaree. A weather check saw strong wind and rain for Thursday but lighter wind and clear skies for Friday.
