Parengarenga harbour
A nice slow start this morning as the forecast was for too much wind to paddle into. Got the tent dry before leaving to lighten the load and promptly added 2 litres of water to the pack as I was unsure about where camp would be and whether I could access clean water further up. I now wish I hadn't bothered as there is good water here. The walk was pretty uneventful with nice firm sand all along Great Exhibition bay. North cape is now within reach. Light winds for the next couple of days are forecast so am looking forward to paddling up to look back at the top of the North Island
