Oban again
There was a weather window tomorrow Friday that looked possible for me to cross Foveaux in the packraft but I have decided the margins are too tight. The wind although in the perfect direction is at the upper end of my tolerance and the strong current midday is not ideal, also the temperature is getting down below 10 degrees which doesn't inspire.
SO the new plan...
The NW circuit clockwise for a week or more with the hope that another wx window will appear as I wend my way down the north coast. If not then the ferry it will be.
Part of the procrastination is that the TA has a lambing closure section just south of the Takitimu's on Mt Linton station that only opens from the 6th November. It will take a week or so from Bluff to get there.
