Mangawhai
With a SW change due around midday with wind strength increasing I got going early to give myself a good chance of getting around Mangawhai heads before then
I didn't realize that Kathy was on the beach early as well until she sent me this picture
This is looking back into the huge (boring to paddle) Bream bay not far from the heads
And this as I approach the heads where I was entertained by several seals leaping out of the water around me and lying on their backs looking at me
It was a relief to get into Mangawhai heads township before the weather got silly. A walk through to the campground at Mangawhai was nice with a wide footpath and friendly folk around.
