Kerikeri and Elliot bay
Yesterday at Ben and Felice's
What a treat! Ben and Felice were amazingly warm and welcoming.

Ben took me to where he is currently working on an amazing property that is harnessing his considerable creative talents, I stocked up on supplies and enjoyed just being in a beautiful home

I was invited to join a 'Feeding frenzy' at their place with some great friends of theirs. A social outing with wonderful fresh home cooked food - I was in heaven 😁.
Today - Elliot's bay
I was asked if I would like to be dropped off at Parekura bay in 'Mary of York' B & F's sailing boat. So many treats, how could I repay them? The sail was pretty much straight downwind and the tides were perfect so YES!!!

My preconceived idea of the captain concentrating on steering and navigation were challenged at times

After a walk of just over an hour crossing the Cape Brett peninsula I arrived at Elliot bay campground. At $25 with no loo's, no shower, no cell service and begrudging WIFI - just a seaside paddock with an old stripped out woolshed to boil a jug in with old sofa's it is charging over the odds methinks.
